"Bodyscapes and Landforms" Solo Exhibition

July 24, 2024

Delaware Valley Arts Association (DVAA) / Alliance Gallery / 37 Main Street / Narrowsburg, NY 12764
August 3 – September 15, 2024

DVAA presents “Landforms and Bodyscapes, Drawings by Julie Harrison,” a solo exhibition by the Hudson Valley artist known for her experimental fusion of science and technology with art. Harrison explores the dualities of nature and artifice in her abstract drawings. Each piece is a journey through the microscopic and neuronal activities that define life, rendered through painting, cutting, and repurposing images.

Harrison’s work has been celebrated with numerous awards, including those from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York State Council on the Arts. Her collaborations with scientists and multidisciplinary artists enrich her unique perspective, which is evident in her exhibitions here and elsewhere.
